Secondary education in the USA
In the USA students (1).........start........... their secondary education at the age of 11. First they (2).........go......... to Middle School for three years. Then they go for High School for four years, from the age 14 to 18. Some students (3)..........stay......... school when they are 16 and (4)...........find........... jobs. But most students (5) .........leave........... at High School still they are 18. Then they (6).........take.......... exams and they get " High School Diploma ". There aren't any national exams.
All students at secondary school in the USA (7)........... study......... English, maths, science, and P.E, but students (8)......... choose........... other subjects, so they don't all study the same subjects.
About 90% of students in the USA go to (9)...........state............ schools. About 10% go to (10) ......... private.......... schools. Most of the private schools are religious schools.

My school library is big. All the teachers and students come there to read and BORROW books. Many kinds of books for students from Grade 6 to Grade 9 are ON the shelves in different sections, such as math, physics, chemistry, biology, and English books. There are ALSO a lot of readers, novels and reference books. On the large and long table IN the middle of the room are many kinds of NEWSPAPERS and magazines. We often go to the school library to read books and study our lessons. It is DIFFERENT from our classrooms BECAUSE it is a quiet place to study. I think the library is very helpful in developing our LOVE of books.

My school library is very big. It is on the right of the lab. Every day, a lot of students come there to read books and magazines. There are hundreds of book of all kinds. English books are (4) on the shelves on the right. Those shelves on the left are science books : chemistry, physics, and biology. In the corner of the library, there are two racks of magazines and newspapers. We like reading all the books there because they are very interesting and useful.
